Our Traffic Management Services

Working on the road is a high risk activity that is dangerous to both the general public and road workers. Without careful planning and execution not only do you expose yourself and others to serious injury but you’re also exposing yourself to legal prosecution. Don’t risk it!

Our team of highly qualified and experienced Traffic Controllers cater for all types of traffic control situations from small suburban road works to major special events. We get it right so you don’t have to worry.

Our controllers will setup the site following site specific Traffic Control Plans designed in accordance with Australian Standards and the RMS’s Traffic Control on Worksites Handbook. We’re accredited and have all the necessary gear to do the job RIGHT!

Road Works Traffic Management

Speed Limits

In an urban area with street lights there is an automatic 50km limit. In other areas the national limit applies unless a formal order has been made to set a different speed limit.

Most drivers tend to drive to the character of a road rather than a set or changed speed limit. Introducing a limit on its own does not mean that speeds will reduce. Our trained and qualified traffic controllers make sure that the required speed limit is upheld during your event.

Traffic Signals and Pedestrian Crossings

The most critical signals are linked to an Urban Traffic Control computer systems. Signal maintenance is operational 24 hours a day. When a fault is reported or detected by the controller, action is taken to fix the fault.

If or when a repair is a long one, Jim’s Traffic Control can dispatch urgent traffic control personnel to affected junction or crossing to make sure that traffic is managed correctly and safely until the traffic signal repairs are carried out.

Road Diversions

Being one of the safest forms of traffic management, road closure & diversions can create a large sterile working area. We work closely with local authorities to design a diversion plan that best suits the travelling public to keep the local network moving as efficiently as possible.

24 Hour Emergency Call Out

We have a dedicated response team including a duty manager that is on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week to assist you with any urgent matters that you may have out of normal office hours.

We can also provide a 24 hour callout for any site maintenance that is required.
